Every Friday night in June, July and August
Saturday Night Alive Gospel Celebration
The sounds of Gospel will fill the air on Saturday night, June 28th. Traditional and Contemporary Gospel music come together in this exciting event that is sure to lift spirits. This year's performers will feature the Sharon Baptist Church Mass Choir and Rev. Ernest Davis Jr.'s Wilmington Chester Mass Choir.
Sounds of R&B Series
Feel the Rhythm and Sing the Blues at Penn's Landing's Sounds of R&B concerts at the Great Plaza. Philadelphia is one of the home bases of major pioneer and contemporary R&B artists. The R&B on the River series, which continues Penn's Landing Corporation's series of Free Friday night concerts through July, features excellent, well known, and critically acclaimed national recording artists. Past performers have included: Jaguar Wright, Carol Riddick, Lady Alma, Jeff Bradshaw featuring Brass Heaven, Angie Stone, and Buddy Guy. This year features:

Smooth Jazz Summer Nights
The Penn's Landing Corporation is the non-profit organization responsible for funding and producing public programming on Philadelphia's waterfront. Bringing smooth jazz to the Philadelphia Waterfront, Smooth Jazz Summer Nights continues for an eleventh season, on the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, Columbus Boulevard at Chestnut Street. Every Friday night in August, the sounds of local and national Smooth Jazz artists fill the air, beginning at 7:30 pm, continuing the series of Free Friday night concerts during the 2008 summer season at Penn's Landing.
