Carrie Heffernan on The King of Queens

Leah Remini plays Carrie Heffernan, Doug's loving wife who works as a legal secretary, on THE KING OF QUEENS, the successful half-hour comedy from Sony Pictures Television.

Remini recently appeared in the film "Old School," in which she co-stars alongside Luke Wilson, Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughn. Prior to THE KING OF QUEENS, she starred in NBC's "Fired Up," as Terry, Sharon Lawrence's feisty and resilient business partner. Her breakthrough role in that series came as the result of a lifetime of effort and finely honed comedic skills.

Born in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, Remini moved with her family to Los Angeles when she was 13. She immediately started her acting career and was soon cast to star in ABC's "Living Dolls." The comedy, a spin-off from a "Who's the Boss" episode, was the first of many television credits. These include the recurring role of Sarafina, the rebellious daughter to Rhea Perlman's Carla on "Cheers," and guest appearances on "Friends," "NYPD Blue" and "Saved By The Bell."

Although still a true Brooklynite, Remini resides in Los Angeles
