Mark "Flex" Washington thought he had the perfect life.
A popular young bachelor who enjoyed a good dose of local celebrity thanks to his past as a pro basketball player but more through his burgeoning career as a Baltimore sportscaster, Flex was the consummate player.
He wholeheartedy embraced the single life knowing there wasn't a woman around who wouldn't succumb to his charms...
...until Breanna came to town.
Smart and feisty with attitude to spare, Breanna's the only woman in Flex's life who is ready to go toe-to-toe with him. She's also 14 years old, a freshman in high school and Flex's daughter. And she's just moved in.
Flex, whose previous "quality time" with Breanna amounted to a mere two weeks out of the year, naively offers to become her full-time parent when his ex-wife accepts a job out of the country. Of course, he has no clue what raising a teenager will entail. Boyfriends, broken curfews, broken hearts, eccentric friends, allowance, "female issues," peer pressure, well-balanced meals . . . it's all new to Flex and he's going to make plenty of mistakes. After all, he's pretty much a kid himself.
And so is Duane, Flex's best friend and Breanna's godfather. He's a constant presence in their lives for better and sometimes for worse. A used car salesman who still lives at home in his mother's basement, Duane is Flex's partner in crime although he has a way of repelling women the way Flex has of attracting them. But that's okay. He's more than happy to take the leftovers.
Weighing all the pros and cons, Flex realizes that only now, with his daughter in his world, is he really living the perfect life. This father doesn't always know best but he and Breanna are going to give it their best shot.
The series stars Flex Alexander ("Out Cold," "Girlfriends") as Mark "Flex" Washington, Kyla Pratt ("Dr. Dolittle," "Love and Basketball") as Breanna Washington, Kelly Perine ("Between Brothers") as Duane, Sicily as Spirit and Robert Ri'chard as Arnaz.
