Stand-up comedian George Lopez ("Bread and Roses," "Resurrection Blvd.") stars as the first guy to be promoted from the assembly line to plant manager at a Los Angeles airplane-parts factory. George's life at work and home never gets dull, thanks to his hilariously stubborn mother, his pal Ernie and his devoted wife and kids. The executive producers of "The Drew Carey Show"--Bruce Helford, Academy Award winner Deborah Oppenheimer and Robert Borden--team up with superstar actress/producer Sandra Bullock ("Miss Congeniality," "28 Days," "Speed") for this working-class family comedy loosely based on Lopez's own experiences as a Mexican-American native of Los Angeles.
